Optimism in the Lord

A brief testimony of the Lord and finding optimism in Him in hard times.

An LDS Sacrament meeting is designed to revitalize our spirit, the part of us that without constant nourishment goes dormant, grows cold and dies. We gain strength, direction and purpose through attendance. We can feel the Savior's Love and watch care over us.

I love symbols. So much meaning can be packed into a single image.  I guess that's one reason I love temples so much, because they are filled will symbols.  In this article, I look at the magnificent "circle" symbols in the new Oquirrh Mountain Temple.

One incident written in my Journal of Miracles about my daughter's struggle in the raging river which runs by our home.

I am not the same man today that I was a year ago! It has indeed been a journey to be baptized in the true church.  This is my story.  At some point, one must realize that change is inevitable and you come to the realization that everyone is a teacher leading you to His kingdom on earth. Before Paul became an apostle, he ridiculed Christians. Then, he was taught by a Rabban--the highest Rabbi. Later, when the resurrected Lord commissioned him, Paul straightaway preached Christ in the synagogues, that He is the Son of God (Acts 9:20). So I will do the same, and follow his example and share my experience and testimony.  Coincidence is Gods way of staying anonymous as he leads you to the right path.

Let's take a moment to salute the women who have to be part Drill Sargent, SNL Cast Member, Multilingual Interpreter, and Warshack Tester to pull off the annual Primary Program.

Children are extremely perceptive in picking up the emphasis, or priority, of our homes and lifestyles, however subtle it may be. Think for a moment and be honest with yourself — how do you stress such things as education, music, sports, vacations, fun times, traditions, clean houses, good food, and material possessions?
