An LDS Sacrament meeting is designed to revitalize our spirit, the part of us that without constant nourishment goes dormant, grows cold and dies. We gain strength, direction and purpose through attendance. We can feel the Savior's Love and watch care over us.

Each of us must find for ourselves the way we can be a meaningful part of our individual grandchild’s life. Whether we have two or twenty, there is a need to bond to the generation before us and to transmit the heritage of the past. Grandmothers have the privilege and the responsibility to shower their charges with love, strengthen sound principles, illuminate the past, and point their grandchildren to a productive future.  Each of us is uniquely qualified for the job.

Some challenges come like a whirl wind and test your grit for a day, a week, a season. Others you must endure for years or even a lifetime. Where is found the strength to endure?

The challenges of serving a mission later in life without your companion are great. But, so are the rewards!
